Red Hummus (9+ Months)

An unusual taste… Red hummus…

You can eat this recipe with yogurt, it looks great.

You can also use this puree as a dip-sauce. For example, we can give the carrots, which are cut into 4 lengths and then boiled well, dipped in red humus and give them in their hands. Or we can spread it on toast. Of course, this is valid for little gourmets who have started to eat on their own.

NOTE : If you wish, you can boil a lot of chickpeas, separate them in walnut size and put them in the freezer bags. You can add it to soups and yogurts. Because chickpeas, the main ingredient of hummus, are very nutritious. It contains lots of protein and fiber. Therefore, chickpeas should definitely be on our menus.

  • Boil the chickpeas in your small saucepan until they are fully cooked.
  • Boil your pepper in another small saucepan or grill it in your tiny pan. The skin of the cooked pepper will be easily peeled off.
  • Take the cooked and peeled red pepper, boiled chickpeas, crushed garlic and olive oil in a bowl and blend.
  • In the meantime, the puree becomes a little stiff. You may need to dilute it a little.
  • You can use the boiling water of the pepper or normal water. Good luck to the little ones.
