Bulgur Pilaf with Green Lentils and Carrots (10+ Months)

Although the ingredients are suitable for +8 months, 8-month-old babies may find it difficult to eat bulgur pilaf in terms of texture. That's why I thought it appropriate to write +10 months. Since this bulgur pilaf is suitable for the taste of adults, the ingredients are prepared in accordance with the family size. I think it tasted as good as plain bulgur pilaf.

You can grate different vegetables instead of carrots, it's a great recipe for storing vegetables that your babies/children don't like. Although the main season of the carrot is winter, it can be grown without drugs and hormones in the summer in our country's climate. Green lentils are the best source of protein, excluding animal products. It should definitely and definitely take place in baby nutrition. But it should be tried to be sure that it does not cause gas to the baby.

Note : If olive oil is used instead of butter in this recipe, milk becomes an allergic recipe.

Materials

  • 1.5 cups of bulgur
  • 3 tablespoons of green lentils
  • 1 capia pepper
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 small diced carrot
  • 1 tablespoon of capsicum paste
  • 1 tablespoon heaped butter
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

Fabrication

  • Boil the green lentils in a separate small pot for 10 minutes, drain the black water and wash.
  • In a separate medium saucepan, sauté the diced onion and garlic with water.
  • Then cut the capia pepper into small cubes and add them to the pot. In the meantime, the water in the pot may have decreased, add a little more water, continue sautéing with less water.
  • Then add the carrot to the pot. After the carrot is sautéed with a little water, add the tomato zest (or tomato paste).
  • Finally, put the boiled green lentils, bulgur, butter, olive oil and 2 glasses of water in the pot and cook it first on medium heat, after it starts to boil, on low heat with the lid closed. If salt is to be added, salt should also be added at this stage.
